New World Serie: Lake Wenatchee/Skykomish

The New World Series features 'rural airports' that are in some way or other linked to not only the technology (and noise) of flying, but also the peace of nature. Places where one can hang over the fence on a Sunday afternoon in summer and watch the planes come and go... and dream about flying one day oneself. But also places where one can hear the birds sing in the nearby forest on a quiet Sunday morning. Places where one can meet friends and aviation enthusiasts, people who fly because they love to fly.... or just love to watch it. Lake Wenatchee/Skykomish is the second title that Richard Goldstein published under the FSAddon brand and models two very small rural airfields in Washington State, US.

He has used his usual eye for detail and very high quality texturing skills to portray the buildings and surroundings in photographic quality.

Although not as diverse and complex as Orcas Island, and with less 'goodies', these are certainly interesting for bush and GA flyers who like the serenity of the Washington nature and the Georender atmosphere.

Fly the Airbus A380

From the outset, the Airbus A380 was designed to be the largest passenger aircraft.

With its unique two story passenger compartment, it is normally outfitted to carry 550 passengers up to 8000 miles.

The A380 made its first test flight on April 27th. Due to a huge public relations push, we've all seen lots of pictures and read multiple stories about this exciting new aircraft.

For those of you who want to climb into the cockpit and fly this huge and exciting aircraft now, we had one of our top developers, Tolga Piskin painstakingly create the Airbus A380 for FS2004 and FS2002.
