gates.to/fsnet: information about your flights
To be able to coordinate two or more aircraft, we need to send out data about each aircraft’s position (LAT/LON/ALT), all engine variables, and other relevent information such as the position of the landing gear. If you think this will violate your privacy, we suggest you do NOT gates.to/fsnet. However, it is worth pointing out that that most of this data is sent out by FS when you use the multi-player feature.
Cookies
Our site does not use any cookies, however the forum software (phpBB) will set cookies to facilitate login and member-only functions on the board. These cookies contain no personally-identifiable information.
We may allow third parties to display advertisements at our site. These advertisements may or may not collect information. For any question about advertisements please contact us and we will put you in contact with the right people to answer your query.

Registering at gates.to
When registering at this site, we ask you for some contact information (like your email address), and demographic information (like birth date). Contact information maybe used to get in touch with you if you allow us to do so in the preferences section of the User Panel. Demographic data is only used on statistical purposes to get general information about visitors, this really help us to develop better services.
IP address
When you register and when you make a post to our forum your IP address is stored on our server. This protects you as a member and us as site administrator. This information will only be used if you misuse any features on the forum or in the event of any dispute. We are able to refuse access by IP address and we reserve the right to do so. We may also make this information available to your ISP should you abuse the site. Additionally, we reserve the right to disclose your IP address to a third-party copyright holder or law enforcement agency in the event of a copyright dispute.
The polling software that we use to conduct our polls also records your IP address when you vote. This again is to prevent someone from 'stuffing the voting box' full of their own votes. We want our polls to represent our entire community, not just one user with too much time on his/her hands. You may prevent your IP from being recorded in this way by simply not voting.
